THE BASIC PLAN
The Basic Plan allows you to have a wellness checkup every calendar year with a general physician and facility of your choice. The Basic Plan is 100% ACA compliant and meets the requirements to avoid any tax penalties.

THE MEGA PLAN
The Mega Plan is a plan that your employer offers in conjunction with the Basic Plan. This plan works great for people who need to see a doctor a little more often, but not enough to pay the high costs of regular major medical insurance. You have the option of adding even more benefits when you have the Mega Plan for an additional monthly fee with Mega Plus Options.
Includes all The Basic Plan benefits along with:
- Office visit assistance with various types of health care professionals
- Chiropractic visits
- Limited lab work
NOTE: You and your family members have to be enrolled in the Mega Plan to add on the Mega Plus Options. This plan can only be canceled at the time of open enrollment unless there is a qualifying event. See FAQs for definition of qualifying event.
THE MVP PLAN
StarMed Benefits offers the Mega Plan to employees along with the Basic Plan. This plan works for people who need to see a doctor a little more often, but not enough to pay the high costs of major medical insurance. Employees have the opportunity to add additional benefits to the Mega Plan, called Mega Plus Options, for an additional monthly fee.
- Minimum value required by law
- The employee total monthly premium for the MVP plan is 9.12% of the employee’s wage per month, plus an additional $720.00 per dependent per month.*
- Has a deductible of $9,100.00 per enrollee per year
- Maximum out-of-pocket of $18,200.00 per family
- This plan operates more like traditional insurance
*Please note that this offer of coverage DOES NOT extend to the employee’s spouse.

AFFORDABILITY NOTICE: MVP is affordable and compliant with all existing laws and regulations of the ACA with the employees’ portion of the MVP premium totaling 9.12% of the lowest employee’s annual payroll. This amount could increase each year according to the federal poverty scale.
